Sustainable Winter Fashion with prAna

You guys…it’s starting to finally feel like a little bit of winter here in Orange County! Chillier mornings and nights, and some heavy duty rain lately! I’ve been looking forward to sweater weather and I know I’m not the only one! prAna recently sent me some items from their winter collection and I can’t wait to show you what I put together. First of all, if you don’t know about prAna already, what you should know is that they are a sustainable brand that uses organic cotton and recycled fabrics and do it in some really fashionable ways. Let’s just say I could  easily see myself wearing MOST of what is listed on their website. They’ve got a unique range of athletic, to casual athletic and dressy casual. A lot of the pieces just need a swap between each other to dress up or down!

Raise your hand if you’re a leggings girl like me! Now that I work from home it just makes sense with a toddler and an active and busy schedule. Jeans are worn when I “go out”, but I love comfortable clothes for day to day stuff.  I got the Akaiak Leggings in two colors, black and bone (which is more a brown color).

I paired the black leggings with a nice casual button down flannel that works for my day to day attire. I like the leggings because they are high waisted and have some texture to them that makes them look woven. The seams are also placed in flattering areas. Guess what guys? The leggings are made from a recycled polyester blend. The Percy flannel is SO soft and made with 100% percent cotton. I usually layer it over a cami or tank so if it got hot later on I can take it off.

The bone leggings felt like a good pairing with the Frosene Top. I think it would also look nice with jeans which is why I thought it was a good pick. Again, super soft material that isn’t hot or itchy and has a nice little detail at the hem.  I can dress it up or keep it casual depending on the pants I choose.

I think my favorite of the bunch is my super cozy Permafrost Half Zip. I wake up at 5am to go to the gym and it’s C-O-L-D at that time of the morning. I could take a nap in this thing. This is the coal color but I feel like I could use the rose colored one too. It has pockets and a hoodie and ,HELLO, just so cozy and warm! I feel like a teddy bear. Also made with 100% recycled material! And this one to your wish list for sure!
