Physicians Formula is back at it again with an extension of their SUPER popular Butter Collection! They just launched TWELVE new Butter Lip Creams and two new Butter eyeshadow palettes. I’ve got loads of opinions on all of them, plus swatches so you can see how the colors look on skin. Let’s take a look, shall we?
Okay, let’s talk about the Butter Eyeshadow palettes first. First of all, these are the biggest eyeshadow palettes that I’ve seen from Physicians Formula. Usually drugstore brands tend to stick to smaller palettes, but these are more like something you’d see in a Sephora or the prestige side of Ulta. Each one has twelve shades – a mix of mattes, shimmers and foils. And the price is right at just $16.95 each (compared to prestige palettes that are often in the $40-60 range).
Right off the bat I have to tell you that I was shocked when I tried these on, and the shadow DID NOT CREASE. I have very oily, hooded eyes and everything creases on me. I have tried so many eyeshadows, and they all crease eventually. So, I was shocked. Shocked I tell you! I wore them over a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion (like I do with all eyeshadows) and they lasted all day. Whaaaaaaat!
The eyeshadow formula is loaded with moisturizing tucuma, cupuaçu and murumuru butters, plus conditioning essential fatty acids. They have that tropical scent like the original Butter Bronzer, and most of the shades are buttery in texture (especially the foils).
Pictured above are swatches of the Tropical Days Butter Eyeshadow palette (without primer). I will say that many of the colors are lighter on the skin and not as dark as they look in the pan. I applied these swatches with a finger, and that’s how you’ll get the boldest application (with any eyeshadow). It did seem that they were buildable, and patting them on gave me the most coverage and best pigmentation. I’m not so much into reds or blues, but I know those are trendy shades right now. The rest of the colors in the palette are great for me. That dark purple actually turned out to be more of a mauve and I much prefer that for everyday use. The shimmers are fantastic.
The Sultry Nights Butter Eyeshadow palette has a mix of warm and cool tones – mattes, shimmers and foils. The colors were amazingly crease-proof for me. Again, some of the shades look quite different on my skin (than in the pan). The deep blue is more of a shimmery, smoky grey-blue. The foil that looks almost black is more of an antique gold shade. I hope my swatches are helpful. The mattes and light shimmers were pretty true to what you see in the palette. This is not good or bad – just depends on what you’re into. This is why beauty bloggers like me exist – to show you how makeup will look so you can make an informed purchase!
The new Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Lip Creams are a nice treat for the winter. They are super moisturizing – and similar to tinted lip balms but with more shade options than you’d normally see. Some of the colors have more pigment than your typical tinted lip balm too. This launch almost seems like something you’d normally see in the summer, but actually, it’s the winter when our lips get chapped and dry. If you put on long-wear liquid lipstick on top of chapped lips, it just looks gross. These moisturizing lip colors are your best friends when that happens! There are twelve shades and they are only $7.95 each.
Shades (L-R Row 1): Soaking Up the Sun, Pinkini, Brazilian Nut, Rio de Janeiro, Flamingo Pink, Mauvin to Brazil
Shades (L-R Row 2): Nights in Rio, Acai Berry, Carnival, Guava Mama, Samba, Brazilian Sunset
I swatched all twelve shades above. You can see immediately how moisturizing and yummy they are! They have the same moisturizing tucuma, cupuaçu and murumuru butters, plus essential fatty acids, that are in the other Butter products, but with the added benefit of SPF 15 to protect your lips from the elements. They are hypoallergenic, paraben-free, gluten-free, and of course, cruelty free. I recommend picking up one to see if you like the formula as much as I do. If so, they are reasonably priced ($7.95 each), so pick up a few to keep in your purse!

Introducing OGEE Sculpted Lip Oils!
I haven’t sent out holiday cards to friends and family in forever! I’ve done it once or twice before, but never on a regular basis. I just got married in October, and we have professional photos from our destination wedding in Edinburgh, Scotland, so it seemed like a good time to send them out. I saw a lot of my friends were using Minted holiday cards, so I decided to try them.
I’ll be honest though – the MAIN reason I never want to send out holiday cards is because I HATE writing! Let me clarify – I love typing, and I love sharing things (that’s why I’m a blogger!), but my actual handwriting has atrophied over the years. I spend so much time typing or using my thumbs to text, that I no longer have the muscle memory to write. It literally hurts to write more than my name, and it feels like my hands no longer listen to my brain. My brain is like, “hey hand – write out this letter M please.” And my hand is like, “Nah – we’re gonna do this weird squiggle instead. Sucks that you messed up your card – guess you’re gonna have to start over!”
I spent a loooooong time sending out thank you cards for wedding gifts and of course, I had to write them out by hand. My wrists and fingers still hurt! And my husband, Gregg’s, handwriting is even worse than mine. It’s pretty illegible, or at least that’s what he says to get out of writing thank you cards. Hmmm… Anyway, that’s why I was so excited when I saw that Minted not only lets you customize your holiday cards with photos and a message, they also PRINT YOUR ADDRESSES for you! Yes seriously – you just upload your holiday card list and they custom print your return address and recipient addresses on each envelope. So essentially, all you have to do is put the card in the envelope and throw a stamp on it. Even I can handle that!
When I went to the Minted website, I saw hundreds of options for holiday card designs. And they were created by independent artists, which was kind of neat. I spent a lot of time uploading photos into each design until I realized that you can literally upload a few images and then search the site using your own images. So it essentially auto-populates your photos into the thumbnail designs as you browse. Learn from me and do that the first time so you can pick your card design easily! Just click at the top where it says “Use my photo.”
After testing out many options, we went with these evergreen “Joy Letter Foliage Holiday Petite Cards” by Alethea and Ruth. I put one of our favorite black and white, pre-wedding shoot photos from Edinburgh on the front, and four color images from the wedding, along with a holiday and happy new year message, on the back. Oh – and those addressed envelopes I mentioned? You can even choose an adorable design to be printed along with the mailing addresses. I got the super cute holiday deer design. I just love it! You can also design your own stamps to match the design, but we decided to go with regular ones.
As of this writing, they are offering free rush shipping when you use their express service (which is what I did). It’s not too late to get your Christmas cards out there! But, they also have New Year’s cards, which is a fun idea. And there are lots of great holiday gift ideas (framed photos, notebooks, calendars, etc). I may purchase some framed photo collages with wedding photos for my family soon. Unfortunately, I don’t have high resolution wedding photos back from my photographer just yet (any day now!), so those will have to wait. If you’re engaged, check out their wedding invitations and thank you cards. And if you have kids, they have some great birthday and event invitation designs.

Detour comes with six warm earth tones, a metallic teal and a seafoam green transformer shade. With just over a month until your big day, should you really try intense laser treatment? The experts always say no!
With just over one month out to my wedding, I got the opportunity as part of the My Beauty Bunny crew to experience the proprietary YAG laser with IPL (intense pulsed light) at Skin Laundry. While I am the type of girl that loves trying out new makeup shades and coloring my hair to express my style, I am not at all experienced when it comes to deep skin treatments. You know, those that go beyond good moisturizer and night creams?
Given that it was a special occasion (that wedding thing!), my mind and pores opened up to the possible benefits of Skin Laundry’s revolutionary laser treatment that proports to vaporize oil, dirt and bacteria while improving skin’s health, tone, texture and glow. Whether you are looking for affordable yet effective weekly treatments or some deep cleansing and polishing around a special occasion like getting married, Skin Laundry welcomes you in a comfortable and calming atmosphere. They have 6 locations around Southern California, New York City and Arizona with more on the way.
I went into my first appointment at the Los Angeles-based Robertson location with a bit of fear mixed with a healthy dose of curiosity. I mean, I will always try anything once. Since I don’t typically partake in this, I was a bit nervous since it’s well known advice to not get a facial or any treatments with needles right before your wedding. Needless to say, I didn’t want a red, blotchy face like I hear often occurs right after a facial.
Well, the lovely ladies at the front desk put me at ease as they checked me in, gave me some product to cleanse my face and prep for the journey beyond. My tech came out to find and take me into the small room with a comfy gray chair and soaring high ceilings. She asked if it was my first time and offered to step me through the process as well as answer any questions that I may have. Her friendly, calm demeanor put me at ease as she explained how multiple lasers would be shocking my face! She placed an oh-so-glamorous headband and goggles on my face. I took a deep breath and said that I was ready.
To warm me up, literally, I got rejuvenated with the (non-fractional) Basic Laser + Light Package. Step 1 of consisted of the YAG laser snapping at my skin to clean out anything clogging my pores; make sure to remove all make-up or you will hear snapping accompanied by unpleasant burning smells. No worries as it’s just the grime getting zapped away. The second step consisted of the targeted IPL attacking the superficial brown spots, redness, pigment and inflammation on the skin’s surface. It was all quite tolerable in under 15 minutes; with no apparent redness or major discomfort, all my fears seemed to be unfounded. Yet, I didn’t seem to see any results that evening or in the days following. I am told that the Laser + Light treatments need to be done on a semi-regular basis to be effective. You can check out Jen’s review here.
After a few weeks of rest, I came back for my first Ultra Fractional—a non-ablative fractional resurfacing laser treatment ideal for those seeking greater intensity, faster results and enhanced correction (AKA the big guns!). This 30-minute treatment goes by quite quickly but if it’s new to you like it was to me, I recommend bringing a friend or use the stress ball they provide to help the pain pass.
Really though, they do everything to make you as comfortable as possible. From the ultra-modern and clean facility to the relaxing full body chair to the calm, well-informed tech, it made me feel as stress free as possible. The tech handed me special goggles to shade my eyes and then proceeded to clean my face with the YAG laser (one of the two lasers used in the more simple Laser + Light treatments). With the treatment came slight discomfort that subsides as you get used to the process.
After that she used the ultra fractional laser on my skin. My eye goggles were swapped out and, after confirming that I would start with level 1 as a first timer, the virtual scraping started. Although it was only a laser, it felt like my face was being punctured with a pick. Imagine the “best” part of the teeth cleaning with a dental scaler on your face. The reality is that it ultimately didn’t bother me as I knew the results would be worth it in the end just like my teeth cleaning. And I knew she was lasering away the hyperpigmentation (brown spots and freckles), uneven skin texture, and fine lines or wrinkles
This leads me to the third and final part of my appointment – and the part that felt great! It consisted of a cool mist, the Hydration Boost serum, being applied to my face with a pressurized oxygen system. The purpose of this is to soothe the skin and deliver antioxidants and peptides to fight aging and provide lasting hydration. It definitely helped as my face didn’t seem very irritated (or display any obvious results) once complete.
For the second Ultra Fractional facial two weeks later, my new tech knew I was no longer a newbie so she pushed me all the way. Or, well, much further than I went the first time. I thought, bring it on! I can do level 3! I have a huge pain threshold and the higher level a patient goes, the better results. So, I repeated the Ultra Fractional but took it up to level 3.
Interestingly, when the treatment was complete and she removed any of the residue, they said my skin wasn’t that red. For having ultra-sensitive, pale skin that can turn red in the sun after just five minutes, I will take that! And, it appeared as though as my skin already had a more even tone and improved texture. Not only were pores diminished, I had much less hyperpigmentation and freckles were lightened. And, those budding wrinkles and fine lines were much less visible! If I keep this up, they might even become invisible to the naked eye. I don’t want all this effort to be in vain so in order to keep my “new” skin smooth and spot-free, I will make sure to continue to apply a broad spectrum sunscreen every day.
So, my skin was only red for the rest of the evening. The next day I was fine. I was told that there would be some inflammation for about a week or so after the treatment that would make my skin look amazing (think plumped up and less visible pores and lines). So I waited about two weeks after the second Ultra Fractional treatment to take these “after photos”. I think you can see that the effects were quite impressive!
Ultimately while I could see a major difference in my skin, I’m not a skin treatment kind of gal, so I don’t think this is something I would do regularly. If it is in your budget and you can make the time though, I do recommend you try it. If mild Skin Laundry treatments are more your speed, the Laser + Light treatments are available for $75 per 15-minute session or $600 for a package of 10. Or, you can go all the way for the advanced intensity Ultra Fractional laser – best for anti-aging – at $250 per 30-minute session or $2,200 for a bundle of 10. There also is a Carbon Peel Facial available at the $150 level at moderate intensity for those who are acne-prone. You can read more about the Skin Laundry treatments here.
All in all, I’m really glad I tried this! My friends tell me my skin looked amazing at my wedding, and I felt that glow continue during my honeymoon in Europe! If you’re engaged to be married or know someone who is, check out Jen’s wedding prep timeline. She’s got lots of great advice for brides to be!

10 Beauty Stocking Stuffers Under $25!
I wasn’t going to do a cruelty free gift guide this year, because it takes A LOT of time, but you guys asked for it, so you got it! I know I say this every year, but the holidays have snuck up on me! I just got married in Scotland, and that took pretty much all of my focus. So now that the wedding and honeymoon are over, it’s holiday shopping time! I’ve put together a cruelty free holiday gift guide to give you some holiday gift buying inspiration. These are all products and gift sets that any cruelty free beauty lover would be happy to receive. This gift guide is very picture heavy, so slip into your winter jammies, grab a cup of hot cocoa and have a browse! Oh – and if you like this, please share it!
Physicians Formula Gift Sets
Physicians Formula is one of my all-time favorite cruelty free drugstore makeup brands. Their products are high quality and the price is oh-so-right. You can pick up Physicians Formula Essential Minis gift set for a beauty-loving friend, and snag one for yourself to get ready for an upcoming holiday party. It comes with five deluxe mini sizes of these best-sellers: Rose All Day Oil-Free Serum, Spotlight Illuminating Primer, Mineral Glow Pearls (champagne highlighter), The Healthy Lip Velvet Lipstick (in shade “Fight Free Red-icals”) and Killer Curves mascara (black). All of this is a $60 value for only $14.95.
The Physicians Formula Color Me Healthy gift set is one of my absolute favorites. Any lipstick lover would be stoked to receive this gift! The Healthy Lip Velvet Liquid Lipsticks are some of the only liquid lipsticks I will actually wear because they are long-lasting but don’t dry out my lips (like most others do). This gift set comes with all THIRTEEN of The Healthy Lip lipsticks and one brand new, limited edition, full-sized The Healthy Lip Transformer. The Transformer comes in shade Opalescence, and you can wear it alone, or on top of the other lip colors. It transforms the colors from matte to metallic, and it’s comfortable to wear, because it’s enriched with Vitamins A and E and mongongo oil. This set is a steal at only $14.95. They are sold out online, but you may be able to find this set in select stores!
Bite Beauty
Bite Beauty has several holiday gift sets available, but my favorites are the Candy Cane flavored version of their Agave Lip Mask ($26), and the Astrology by Bite Mini Amuse Bouche Lipstick Set ($75).
If you haven’t tried the Agave Lip Mask, now is the time! There are different flavors and some are tinted. This limited edition version has a very slight tint and a candy cane flavor. I prefer lip balms to be minty, so I really like this one. My lips are always chapped in the winter, so lip treatments like this one are always appreciated as gifts!
Every month Bite has released a new limited edition lipstick to go with the corresponding month’s astrological sign. The Mini Amuse Bouche Lipstick Set has mini versions of EVERY shade! The lipsticks are super creamy and hydrating – they are made with 12 edible oils. Each one has a light citrus scent. The packaging is gorgeous and sophisticated, and will make an excellent gift for your lipstick loving friends and family.
Too Faced Pretty Rich Collection
The Too Faced Pretty Rich packaging is pretty adorable! I think this collection would appeal to a younger crowd, but Too Faced collectors of any age will appreciate these limited edition items. The Pretty Rich Diamond Light eyeshadow palette ($49) has had some mixed reviews by bloggers and makeup enthusiasts. I personally really love that there are wearable colors in this palette (I’m tired of all the mustards, oranges and burgundies that have been coming out lately). I appreciate that there are matte shades in here for blending, and the shimmers and gel glitters are REALLY good! The glitters are densely packed and fallout is minimal. If you put the glitter all over, it WILL crease, so for best results, use it sparingly to highlight.
The (vegan) Too Faced Diamond Fire Highlighters ($34) are made with actual crushed diamonds. The prismatic shimmer-shine is LEGIT and not for the faint of heart. There aren’t any glittery chunks (thankfully) but the shine is pretty intense, so again, this is for the younger crowd or the more playful older crowd. They come in Diamond Fire (an icy white), Fancy Pink Diamond (pink) and Canary Diamond (yellow gold).
Also check out the Rich and Dazzling High-Shine Sparkle Lip Glosses ($21) – they have mega holographic shine and micro glitter. Color payoff is intense, they are non-sticky, deeply hydrating and smell like vanilla cupcakes.
Urban Decay Naked Cherry Collection
The gorgeous pink-toned Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette ($49) launched just in time for the holidays. Finally we’re seeing fewer mustards and browns and more pinks and burgundies! The Urban Decay Naked Cherry palette has 12 brand new shades: Hot Spot (ivory matte), Caution (soft neutral beige matte), Bang Bang (shimmering pink with gold shift and iridescent micro-sparkle), Feelz (soft dusty rose matte), Juicy (soft warm peach), Turn On (pale metallic rose shimmer), Ambitious (metallic rose copper), Bing (deep mauve matte), Devilish (reddish plum matte), Young Love (metallic cranberry), Drunk Dial (deep metallic burgundy), Privacy (deep brownish-plum matte).
The Urban Decay Naked Cherry Highlighter and Blush Palette ($34) has three shades: a rose gold highlighter, pink shimmery highlighter and a deep coral blush. The palette is surprisingly wearable for someone with fair skin (like myself). It looks very dark in the pan (especially the blush), but when applied with a brush, it’s quite sheer.
There are three Urban Decay Naked Cherry Vice lipsticks ($18). Cherry is a deep berry wine color (not something I’ve ever been able to pull off – I always look weird in wines). Juicy is a light peach color with copper micro shimmer, and Devilish is a sheer bright pink with micro shimmer. Both of these are pretty alone or as toppers.
You can get the entire Naked Cherry Vault for $100 at Sephora!
100% Pure
For the more natural makeup lover, you can’t go wrong with pretty much ANYTHING from 100% Pure. Everything the brand makes is vegetarian (and most products are vegan), cruelty free and made with natural ingredients, including real fruit pigments (and the packaging is quite pretty). The new Rose Gold palette ($55) has five very wearable soft, shimmery, warm rose gold shades (highlighter, blush and three eyeshadows). It looks like the palette is currently sold out online, but you may be able to find it in one of the 100% Pure brick and mortar stores.
The Rose Gold palette pairs nicely with the limited edition Fruit Pigmented Pomegranate Oil Anti Aging Lipstick Duo ($39). This two pack comes with Rose Gold and Red Gold – again, very wearable colors! Finish up your rose-themed gift basket with the Rose Micellar Cleansing Water ($32) – it soothes skin and removes makeup and dirt without any harsh ingredients.
Winky Lux Holiday Palette
Winky Lux has three holiday eyeshadow palettes out this year as well as some lipstick and makeup brush sets. I received a sample of the Uptown Kitten holiday eyeshadow palette ($25), and I was very impressed. The colors are highly pigmented and very wearable. The Uptown Kitten palette has a mix of mattes and shimmers in colors ranging from taupe and cool champagne to rose gold, bronze, copper and dark brown. The palettes are quite affordable too at only $25 a pop.
The Balm
The Balm has some really cute gift sets with deluxe mini sizes of their cult favorites. I know a ton of you love the Mary-Dew (champagne) and Bonnie-Dew (bronze) highlighters. Now you can get both PLUS the new Cindy-Dew (pink) and Betty-Dew (light gold) liquid highlighters in the Dew Manizer’sQuad gift set ($27.50). Is it squad or quad – or both? We may never know…
Dermalogica Gift Sets
Dermalogica is still one of my all-time favorite cruelty free skincare brands. They are leaders for a reason – they make great quality skincare products that are based on efficacy and not on packaging and marketing fluff! There are lots of skincare gift sets to choose from, and you may find yourself buying some for friends and some for yourself to stock up and save.
The Dermalogica 12 Days to Glow advent calendar ($135) is full of products that your friends and family will be excited about. This box set includes deluxe mini sizes of classic favorites like PreCleanse, Multi Active Toner and Dynamic Skin Recover SPF 50, as well as newer products like Sound Sleep Cocoon and Skin Smoothing Cream.
The Ultimate Cleanse and Glow Trio ($90) is my FAVORITE because it contains three full-sized versions of my favorite Dermalogica products: PreCleanse, Special Cleansing Gel and Daily Microfoliant. This set is a $140 value for $90. One for my friends, one for me…time for me to stock up!
Elemis
Got the winter skin blues? Elemis has several holiday gift sets out. They put together a nice collection of their best selling super food and prebiotic based products in the Superfood Super Skin Trio gift set ($75). It comes with full sizes of the Superfood facial wash, facial oil and day cream for $75 (reg value is $111). These ultra-luxe skincare essentials are packed with foods you’d find in a green smoothie – things like broccoli, flax seeds, goji berries, pumpkin seed oil, and daikon radishes. You can see our review of these products here. And who doesn’t love scented candles? Especially during the cold winter months. Elemis also has some amazing, highly-scented, high-quality candles (with long 40 hour burn times) that smell like heaven ($44).
Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription
A Vegan Cuts Beauty Box or Makeup Box subscription is a gift that keeps on giving! Each carefully curated box has ONLY cruelty free and vegan beauty products. There’s a mix of well-known and up-and-coming brands in each box, with a focus on organic, natural, paraben and sulfate-free products. The monthly beauty box is $22.95 per box, $120 for a six month subscription, or $222 for a yearly subscription. There is free shipping to the US. Prices for countries outside the US vary. There’s also a vegan snack box which would be a nice gift for an office worker (maybe they’ll share)!
Hooded Eyes Makeup Manual Book by Courtney Nawara ($19.95)
If you or a friend has hooded eyes, this makeup manual by my friend and fellow cruelty free beauty blogger is a must have! If you don’t know what hooded eyes are, I recommend watching this video. Basically it means you can’t see the part of your lid under the crease (AKA your “mobile lid”) unless you close your eyes. Techniques for makeup application are completely different if you have hooded eyes. So if you’ve been following beauty guru makeup tutorials and feeling like you’re missing something, this may be why! Phyrra (AKA Courtney) is the queen of eye makeup looks for hooded eyes, and she’s been working on this amazing book for over two years. There are tons of colorful, artsy and wearable looks in this guide. You can purchase the paperback or ebook on Amazon.
LATHER Bedtime Stories Gift Set
Who wouldn’t want the gift of peaceful slumber? The LATHER Bedtime Stories gift set (currently $40) comes with a lavender-scented bath and body haul: Quiet Night Relaxing Balm, NEW Quiet Night Pillow Mist, two lavender bath bombs, a lavender aromatherapy candle, and a silky eye mask. LATHER products were created by a fellow migraine sufferer, so they are made with natural ingredients and contain no parabens, sulfates, mineral oil or artificial colors or fragrances.
BECCA Champagne Pop Mini Ornament
What a great gift for a coworker or stocking stuffer! The BECCA Champagne Pop Mini Ornament comes with a deluxe mini size of their cult favorite Champagne Pop highlighter. If you’re not familiar with this shade, it’s a fairly universal color – a soft white gold with pink/peach undertones, and lots of fine shimmer!
Healthmate Forever Massager TENS Unit ($26.98)
Okay this one might seem random, but I’ve had so many people ask about it, so I thought I should include it. This is the TENS Unit Gregg and I use for muscle pain and soreness. It uses electronic stimulation to ease aches and pains. If you are buying a gift for an older relative, a workout junkie, or someone with chronic pain (like me!), this will be a very thoughtful and MUCH appreciated gift. It’s under $30 and Amazon is offering free one day shipping for Prime members, so you can’t go wrong!
Brooklyn Candle Studio Noir Collection ($35)
These beautiful soy wax candles are hand poured by Brooklyn Candle Studio in Brooklyn, New York. I tried the Hinoki Noir candle, and unfortunately could not give it as a gift, because I had to keep it all to myself! It’s heavily scented (which is bad when it’s a face cream and GOOD when it’s a candle!) and will last up to 70 hours. The notes for Hinoki are: hinoki cypress, cashmere woods, cedar leaf, orris, redwood bark and cardamom. It’s got an uplifting floral, citrusy vibe. I definitely want to try more from this collection. No phthalates, dyes or preservatives. Use code MYBEAUTYBUNNY for 15% off your order!
SpaceNK Shimmering Spice Candle ($20 – $40 depending on size)
If you’re looking for a candle with a more holiday-themed vibe, try the SpaceNK Shimmering Spice Candle. It’s a classy take on a holiday theme – with a gold, burgundy and hunter green harlequin pattern (it kind of reminds me of New Orleans which is where I’ll be spending my New Year’s Eve!). And, the best part is the amazing cinnamon, spice, mandarin orange, litsea cubeba and vanilla scent. It’s so strongly scented, it smells up the room before you even light it. Just heavenly! The smallest option (175 g) candle shown here is just $20.
The Spice Lab Tequila Salt Shooters ($26.95)
Got a friend who isn’t crazy about beauty products, but loves a good cocktail? My bestie falls into that category! I found these Himalayan pink sea salt shot glasses that she (and her husband) are going to love! They are made with food-grade sea salt that gives a salty flavor to your favorite tequila. You can get them on Amazon for less than thirty bucks.
Gamma+ Aria Hair Dryer
Most people own a hair dryer, but not everyone owns a professional Italian hair dryer! The Gamma+ Aria hair dryer ($149.95) is a great gift idea because it’s something not everyone would splurge on for themselves. The Aria comes in a gorgeous aquamarine color that gives me major 1950s vibes. It’s super lightweight which is a big deal if you have a lot of hair to dry (that drying arm gets sore)! The Aria is designed to create negative ions, which gives you smoother hair with fewer flyaways or frizz. It comes with two nozzles, 3 heat settings and 2 speed settings, plus a cold shot button (when used at the end, this helps to cut down on frizz even more). It has “ETC (evolution turbo compressor) technology”, and while as a layman, I can’t say I really understand what that means, I CAN say that this puppy dries my hair super fast!
NuFACE ($199 – $429)
Microcurrent is one of my all time favorite skincare treatments. It literally lifts your face without injections – fighting against gravity. The results are temporary, but there are cumulative results over time. You really have to be consistent with this type of beauty gadget, but it works! It quite literally contours your face and helps to fight wrinkles and lines. If you (or your intended gift recipient) is over the age of 35, you may want the pro bundle that comes with the attachments for eyes and lips. If you’re younger (or on a budget), go with the original model or the mini.
